June 1st was the day after the big storms that swept through St. Charles County. Lots of damage and lots of rain. That caused Missouri River at St. Charles to crest at 33.81 last weekend. As of 10 AM on Sunday June 9th, the Missouri is down ten feet to 22.4 feet. That’s over an 11 foot drop in a week.
Residents of eastern St. Charles County are still dealing with the flood waters of the Mississippi. The crest was last weekend at 34.38 feet. The Mississippi has only dropped about four feet in a week. As of Saturday at 9AM the Mississippi was at 30.5 feet at Alton Lock and Dam 26.
Residents of Eastern St. Charles County are still under a flood warning and should be prepared to evacuate in case of a levee break or additional rain fall.
