Major Storm Damage in The Westplex

The St Charles County Executive has declared a state of emergency. Dispatch centers and emergency responders have called in additional units and personnel.

The Mobile Incident Command Center is at Central School Elementary off Central School Road EOC Van 20130601 1000W and St. Peters Howell Road. The Command Center opened at 8 AM Saturday morning for damage assessments.

No fatalities have been reported.  One fire fighter at the fire station on Jungs Station was injured when the fire house was hit by the storm.   Five other area residents received injuries and were transported to area hospitals.

Damage reports are currently concentrated around Harvester and Weldon Spring areas. Substantial damage was reported in St Charles city around the Family Arena. Damage was also reported to the Family Arena. All hospitals report no damage.

American Red Cross representatives are on scene at the Area Command and the County Emergency Operations Center, but no requests for assistance or shelter have been received. No shelters have been activated. Personnel remain on stand by.

Central County Fire District station reported significant damage and one firefighter injured and transported.
